Welcome to the Fountain County Office of Voter Registration website. Here are some suggestions to make it as easy as possible for you to participate in the election process:
REQUIREMENTS TO VOTE
- You are a Citizen of the United States;
- You will be 18 years of age by the time of the next general election;
- You will have been a resident of your precinct for 30 days before the election
- You are not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime.
As of July 1st, 2001, anyone wishing to vote MUST give their 10 digit Indiana Driver's License number or a state issued ID number. If you do not have an Indiana Driver's License, you may give the last four digits of your social security number.
DEADLINES & IMPORTANT DATES
May 4, 2020 - Voter Registration closes at end of business day (4:00 pm EST) in County Clerk's Office.
May 5, 2020 - First day a voter may vote an absentee ballot in the office of the circuit court clerk. Ground floor of Courthouse
May 21, 2020 - Deadline for the Circuit Court Clerk to receive an absentee ballot application from an applicant requesting delivery
of an absentee ballot by mail. Applications may be submitted to the Clerk's office in person, by mail, fax or email -
May 30, 2020 - Early Voting at Courthouse and Attica City Building 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
June 1, 2020 - Early Voting at Courthouse 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
June 2, 2020 - PRIMARY ELECTION DAY - Vote Centers open at 6:00am and close at 6:00pm. Vote Centers are located in
Attica, Covington, Veedersburg, Hillsboro and Kingman. Voters can vote at any vote center in the county.
