Welcome to the Fountain County Office of Voter Registration website. Here are some suggestions to make it as easy as possible for you to participate in the election process:
REQUIREMENTS TO VOTE
- You are a Citizen of the United States;
- You will be 18 years of age by the time of the next general election;
- You will have been a resident of your precinct for 30 days before the election
- You are not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime.
As of July 1st, 2001, anyone wishing to vote MUST give their 10 digit Indiana Driver's License number or a state issued ID number. If you do not have an Indiana Driver's License, you may give the last four digits of your social security number.
DEADLINES & IMPORTANT DATES
August 1, 2019 - DEADLINE, by noon, to file a declaration or withdraw a declaration of candidacy for nomination by a town convention in a town having a population less than 3,500.00.

August 21, 2019 - DEADLINE - for the Democratic, Libertarian or Republican Party to conduct a town nominating convention in
a town with a population of less than 3,500.
August 28, 2019 - DEADLINE - by noon, for filing certificate of nomination from town convention with circuit court clerk for a
town having a population less than 3,500.
September 4, 2019 - DEADLINE - by noon, for circuit court clerk to file a copy of the certificate of nomination from the town
convention with the town clerk-treasurer.
October 7, 2019 - DEADLINE - by 4:00 pm EST for a voter to register or transfer registration or at midnight for a voter to complete
and submit a voter registration application online at indianavoters.com.
November 5, 2019 - MUNICIPAL ELECTION DAY
City of Attica and City of Covington Candidates need to file: CAN-12 and CAN-42. Filing DEADLINE is FEBRUARY 8th at Noon.
Towns of Hillsboro, Kingman, Veedersburg, Newtown, Mellott and Wallace Candidates need to file: CAN-12 and CAN-16. Filing DEADLINE is AUGUST 1st at Noon.
Independent Candidates need to file: CAN-12, CAN-44, and CAN-45. Filing DEADLINE is JULY 1st at Noon.
Any elected position that earns $5,000.00 or more annually, will also need to file the CFA-1 report and do the CFA-4 Finance forms per the finance schedule.
